One of the pioneers of reggaeton music, Julio Voltio became known for being a member of the now defunct group The Master of Funk; together with Rey 29 and Hector El Father.
After the group’s separation, Voltio eventually partnered with Karel releasing the album Los Duenos del Estilo in 2003. Deciding to sign up with White Lion Records, Voltio released his solo album Voltage/AC in 2004. The album was an instant success especially with hit singles that include Bumper, No Amarres Fuego and Julito Marana.
Voltio’s next album, released in 2005 with the title Voltio, was also successful. This time Voltio collaborated with other artists like Calle 13, Tego Calderon, Notch and Three 6 Mafia to create a different mix of reggaeton music.
