The Hip hop and Southern rap music genre owes their popularity today to rapper T.I. or formerly known as T.I.P.
Signing with Arista Records in 2001, T.I. released his debut album I’m Serious. It was followed by a series of successful albums including Trap Muzic (2003), Urban Legend (2004) and King (2006). Among his hit singles are I’m Serious, Let’s Get Away, Rubberband Man, ASAP, Bring Em Out, U Don’t Know Me, Motivation and Get Loose.
T.I. is scheduled to release another album in 2007 entitled T.I. vs T.I.P.
T.I. has received six Grammy Awards nominations including Best Rap Solo Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Collaboration at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards.
